This elder is Ronnie Loon who was born in the bush Inland of Neoskweskau north of Mistissini in the year of 1928. Ronnie Loon had a chance to get married and he married Gertie Voyageur of Mistissini. They had eight children all together and also had a chance to deliver as a midwife one of his first sons at birth. This was before the arrival of doctors. Ronnie and his wife love the bush life and that is how they supported their children through their hunting skills. |
