A man and wife are hungry. Even when he performs the shaking tent, his helping spirit doesn`t come to help him. One day as he walks, he finds a path of people traveling. He follows the trail and finds the camp. He reaches the camp as a feast is being held. He announces that he had arrived and is very hungry. Everyone at the camp ignores him. He enters the lodge and a group of men are feasting but still ignore him. He sat down with the men and proceeded to eat. Apparently, these are helping spirits and is successful in his hunting there after.

Maria talks about when they first had ski doos and the people believed ski doos made work and travel easier. However not many people had ski doos, only those who worked. The main use of ski doos was to get fire wood and it was far away where they got their firewood. When their children were away at school, the women went to visit them and bring them warm clothing.
