The Late Edward Matches was a Coastal Carrier by Dog team during the Fur Trade, along the East coast of James Bay. He lived at Old Factory 30 km south of Wemindji (Paint Hills). There were times he would travel to Moosonee to get mail for Waskaganish, Eastmain, Old Factory and Fort George. |
